Some of the reason why people were kinda mad with the ending it took him a year to help out the people like the girls brother. It a good show still, glad you did a reaction to it.

About the ending and the old man. In a way it send a strong message that for some they are just bored and like to see people killing each other. Nothing more to it, nothing deeper. So does it make a good ending? Maybe objectively but Itâs not an ending I liked. However we have to recognize that the whole setup is highly biased for those kinds of people. A game based on killing each other is going to attack sadistic or amoral people. So itâs not a show that could have a HEA(Happily ever after) ending. But it does feel dissatisfying. Is it more real since real life doesnât always end in HEA? Lexie, you said that the show made you less trustful of people. Sure there are a lot of bad people, toxic people, scammers, liars, and hypocrites and we have to be wary of them but we have to remember there are also a lot of amazing people. And sometimes we should focus more on them, life is depressing enough to see the negative in everything. About Song-woo, in the end he was willing to kill a lot of people, for what, to save his mother's business. Iâm not sure of the social network in South Korea. If it wasnât for Squid Game what would happen. His mother would have lost her business and endup living in poverty I guess since sheâs old and itâs hard to start from scratch at her age. Now Song-woo is willing to kill to save his mother's business. Other people also had loved one. What about Ali's wife and Child, or the North Korean Girl brothers. That the one we know about every one of them has a story. Song-woo is willing to kill and ruin many other people's lives to correct a situation that is his own damn fault. If you invest your own money, your own property and lose well bankruptcy and restart, But no he was too greedy wanted more so use his mother property as collateral to speed up investment now he lost everything itâs his own damn fault. That's why no. Killing himself to save his mother. It doesnât redeem him in my eyes. There is something I donât get. How does he put his mom's property as collateral without her knowledge or consent. If her mom knew well you come clean and said you fuck up and loss everything. Itâs going to be ruff for a while Song-woo fuck up. What I still donât get, maybe because I watch it at 4am, is why the detective brother is doing the Frontman thing? What is his reason? He was bored?

2021-11-28 18:50:06 +0000 UTCJust my personal take on the whole ending: I guess the whole show is more meant as a social commentary than to portray real people (at least with the workers & VIPs, the players get all the character development), like people who have the power to help someone just walk past or prioritize their enjoyment over other's suffering; at the end, Gi-hun also had boatloads of cash & knew at least of 2 people in dire need (Song-woo's mother & Sae-byoks brother), but just let it sit there out of guilt - which is worse, use (what essentially is) blood money or leave those 2 alone & keep your hands clean. Similar with him turning away from the plane; he could have just went to see his daughter in USA & finally be a dad, but then he would just stand by & do nothing as the next Squid Game continues & another batch of hundreds of people get killed for entertainment, with him being one of the few people who know about it & could act - which is worse? Also, Song-woo did act (almost) as terrible as the gangster and many in the audience hated him, yet he actively killed himself to ensure that his mom is taken care of when he just had to say "I give up" to save himself - he didn't do it out of egoism, at least not mainly. So in total main topics it made me think about were: - are humans good or bad? - what would I be willing to do if my life (or the life of the ones I love) were on the line? - what do you have no good options but only 2 different flavours of shit (let someone else die or sacrifice yourself, but also leaving behind your loved ones who need you)?

2021-11-28 18:13:24 +0000 UTCWell the last game was just a fight. If it wasnât for the MC wanting to quit and the other guy killing himself it would have been a pretty boring game. I kind of saw it coming that he was going to kill himself. I could not see it ending with both leaving with nothing. Not on this show. I was wondering why the frontman had his mask off but then I saw the MC was blindfolded. Iâm writing comments as we go along and there is still a lot of the episode left. Itâs all just for old man fun. The rich people in this show arenât portrayed very well. I guess they want to portrait rich people as fuck up but itâs kind of clichĂ©. So he did know who her brother was. I donât like the ending. I donât like how the old man was only for fun and nothing more. Iâm not sure Iâm on board with him trying to take them out and not board the plane. I guess itâs ok but meh not sure what to think. It was a very good show to watch.
